I always have good conversation about God and life with the shopkeep at my local fruit & vegetable market, he once told me years ago "to watch out for distractions, they are all around and they keep you unfocused on what's really important" that stuck with me, I think about it all the time. We are saturated in petty and harmful distractions. We stress about paper money, jobs, romance, TV, sports, celebrities, whatever. All keeping us distracted from what's really important. I have my eyes on the prize, and what is the prize? You. The real you. Your soul. Not all the dressing, clothes, titles, things or status but your soul. The most prized and valuable thing in the universe. Unique in all of time and space. Amazing that people would sell it for a happy meal, or for paper and shiny rocks. We were created to love and to be loved. Keep your eyes on the prize and don't be distracted.
